Grant Amount:
10,000

"To reduce the morbidity and mortality from Malaria and Bilharzia in children living in the lakeside villages of Lake Malawi."
"Malaria is still Africa's biggest killer, we treat over 10,000 cases annually; prevention is far better and nets are the best available method we have. Bilharzia is almost endemic in the lake villages but easily and effectively treatable with a single dose of Praziquantal.
This program will deliver 2,000 mosquito nets (the nets are large and 2 - 3 children will share each net).
